Thank you to Tonkin for an amazing holiday! In particular,  Ms. Vy created us a fantastic, personalized itinerary and we enjoyed everything! Her customer service was exceptional and we were beyond pleased with working with her. 

Our guide,  Chien made our trip the greatest! He was so knowledgeable and so much fun! Our children adored him too! 

The second half of our trip was in central Vietnam and we really liked Hoi An. It was a great, relaxing way to end our holiday.  The accommodation that Ms. Vy recommended was terrific! Convenient location, right off of An Bang Beach. 

I would highly recommend Tonkin Voyage Travel too anyone!

As a side request,  I think Chien may have some more photos to share with us? If possible,  if you could check that would be excellent. Thank you!

From Northern to Central Vietnam 13 Days

Hi Vy.

We are just finishing our packing and enjoying our last few hours in Cambodia. It has been a wonderful trip, so expertly organised by you and your agency. All of our guides were interesting, knowledgeable and very helpful. Our drivers were friendly and very safe. Most hotels were of high standard and great value for money however the Sapa hotel was not so pleasant  - the dining area badly needed maintenance and a good clean. The hotel was full of the owners motorbikes - very strange. We couldn’t find any bar area in which we could relax after our activities so would not recommend this hotel. The staff were trying to be helpful but their lack of training and confidence was obvious.

The Mekong cruise was a highlight and the onboard cook made the best vegetarian meals so I was very happy.  Small criticism- the Gekko eyes boat could do with some maintenance and a really intensive clean ( mats, chair cushions were very marked and tired) and not being able to open windows at night to get fresh air was hard but everything else was very enjoyable.

FYI. The Phnom Penh hotel Villa Langka, is in the process of a major renovation so was quite noisy and dusty - just so you know if booking it for others.

All hotels gave us a really good mix of styles and all the staff took care of us beautifully. 

A real standout has been Viroth in Siem Riep also La Siesta in Hanoi. Everything perfect.

So all in all we go home tired but very satisfied with our Tonkin Voyage. We do hope to see you again in the future. Many thanks for all you exceptional work and best wishes.

FROM VIETNAM TO ANGKOR TEMPLES 29 DAYS

We have been using Trip Advisor for sometime and have been very satisfied with the recommednations we've gotten on hotels and restaurants in Europe and the US. Having read the reviews of Tonkin Voyage Travel, we were confident that they would meet our expectations for our trip to Viet Nam. But we were overwhelmed by the service and quality we received from Ms Vy. From our pre travel communications to our arrival and pick up, everything ran smoothly especially after  30 hours in transit.

The three week program Ms Vy arranged came together without a hitch. Drivers were on time. Accomodations were fabulous. The guides, Mr. Long in the nother, Ms Tran (Sammy) in the central part and Mr. Lamb in the south were fantastic. Each one had a thorough cammand of English They each were professional and extremely personable.

We got to meet Ms Vy in person and she stole our hearts.

Viet nam is the best kept secret in travel. We wish Tonkin Voyage Travel would expand to other countries because they know how to give travelers great value and comfort.

Dear Ms Vy.

We are now regretfully back in the UK, and very sad we are about that too, we had such an enjoyable time in Vietnam, we were very very sad to leave.

We would like to thank you and the team for organising everything so well, the planning was excellent, your recommendations 1^st class, and the guides you selected were all excellent, very different characters, but all very knowledgeable and provided great service, and superb care and attention, which was very much appreciated. The whole trip ran like clockwork, and left us more time to enjoy and appreciate what we were seeing. All of the hotels offered great service, and everyone is trying so hard to do a great job and create memorable experiences. The hotels in Hanoi and Hoi An were lovely recommendations, and very well located. The La Residence is a great hotel, but you may want to be aware that they are just about to start building a new garden / pool area between the hotel and the river, and that will involve extensive building work for several months on river facing rooms which will likely be an annoyance for people staying there, (though I guess this will coincide with the low season) but it’s a lovely colonial feel hotel with a nice bar and restaurant and great service. The hotel in Saigon was a recommendation from a friend who stayed there last year, and it was really very nice, great location, you can easily walk to many locations from there, with nice size rooms, and a suburb roof top bar / restaurant. The only slight disappointment was the trip to the Mekong, the boat operator seemed to want to finish early, and we did not have the boat until about 1630 as per the itinerary, rather it was about 1530 when we disembarked. And on reviewing we believe we did not see Binh Hoa Phuoc and An Binh islands (if we did they were not pointed out J), or visit An Binh church, unfortunately we did not have the itinerary with us that day (careless) to check we had ‘ticked’ all the must see sights, and it was only when we got back to the room and reviewed it that evening and wrote our travel journal did we realise this.

All in all though a superb 17 days, a very memorable holiday, and that was only possible with your help, advice and input, and we will have no problem recommending your services for anyone embarking on such a trip.

We arrived back home in England yesterday and were greeted with a temperature of 2C and fog! We are missing Vietnam already!

I have filled in the questionnaire and gave it to the driver in Saigon. It was all very complimentary.

Thank you for arranging such a great tour. We are telling all of our friends what a great place Vietnam is to visit and would recommend you and Tonkin-Travel to organise their trips.

Everyone we met in Vietnam was very friendly and given the difficult times your country has gone through, the resilience of their character is amazing and a credit to your nationality. I'm sure that your country will continue to prosper economically.
